The Last Great Race on Earth
If there is one event that defines Alaska it is the 1100-mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race from Anchorage to Nome. Anchorage shivers through a cold January
January in Anchorage saw record setting cold weather and snowfall! We had a whopping 123 inches of snow at the PAT headquarters.
Our average temperature for January was 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit, which doesn’t sound so bad till you factor in all the below zero days it took to reach this balmy average temperature! Fairbanks average temperature for January was -27 below zero! Continue reading
